CAHA Design Group is a company made of licensed architects, visionary architectural designers, and skilled project managers. Our members have diverse backgrounds in design, construction, custom fabrication, fine art, teaching, ecology, entrepreneurship and community engagement. As a team, we conceptualize and facilitate the creation of thoughtful contemporary environments. Our current focus is on creating unique single-family homes, multi-family residential buildings, and commercial hospitality spaces to activate and enliven our local neighborhoods.

Typical architecture firms generally follow a 6 step linear process with the primary aim of creating a well packaged set of design drawings and permit documents. This design process is important for many reasons, but by focusing on the design as a product itself, architects tend to take on the role of a design consultant. While this is appropriate in some cases, we believe architects are in a unique position to contribute more. At CAHA we strive to be master builders. Our expertise stretches across the whole project life cycle.

We have a holistic approach to project management with design, project budgeting, and process oversight happening at every stage of the design and building process. We guide the process based on individual project need and have developed a system that provides a lot of transparency and agency for owners as we move through the complex endeavor of building something together.

We are highly trained creative designers and excel in idea creation and strategic development. We are also realists and pragmatists - long term use, aesthetics, execution logistics and pricing are all rolled together as we develop designs.

We combine elements of Schematic Design, Design Development, and Bidding and Negotiation early in the process so that changes can be made prior to permit submission. This allows us to provide a more realistic view into what the project will take overall, and we do not waste engineering and design fees detailing things that are not feasible for our clients to execute.

We use our material and construction knowledge to create cohesive budgets and material ordering schedules.

We bring together and organize project teams, conducting a complex orchestration of owner and investor needs, city approvals, engineers, contractors, materials vendors and more.
